I was the inaugural speaker for the Black Girl Processing Space (BGPS) Graduation Celebration. It was a true honor to address the young black women, offer networking tips and share inspiration through storytelling. It was also surreal to be back on campus the week of my 25th Class Reunion (?!?!?!).
Additionally, I donated a portion of the J. Pollard Turman Alumni Service Award Gift to BGPS to financially support their mission. I had a fabulous time being "19" again, connecting with the "Alumnae To Be". In my closing keynote, I expressed my hopes that one (or some) of them, would win the Turman Award. Thus, continuing the legacy of service, leadership and community to Emory. Calling all alumni and friends, it's that time of the year to honor our incoming alumni / 2023 Grads! One of my favorite commencement activities (by far) is the Candlelight Crossover. A beautiful tradition which is rooted in support and love within the Emory community. It is a great opportunity to welcome our newest grads into the alumni association. As well as, connect and network with fellow alums, faculty and staff.
